Honest terms, no gotchas.
What you can expect from this site, what we expect from visitors and applicants, and how donations and scholarships actually work.
Acceptance
By accessing or using bryfoundations.org (the "Site"), submitting a form, making a donation, or applying for any BRY Foundation programme, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms are entered into with Bharat Rising Youth Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation registered under Indian law.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to make a donation. Class-12 students and minors may apply for skilling and mentorship programmes with a parent or guardian's consent.
- Scholarship applicants must meet the eligibility criteria published for the specific programme.
- You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information.
Use of the site
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian law.
- Submit false, fraudulent or misleading information in any form, including but not limited to scholarship applications and donor identification.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, our admin panel, or the underlying infrastructure.
- Scrape, copy, redistribute, or republish content from the Site without prior written consent.
- Use the Site to send spam, malware, or any harmful code.
Donations & refunds
- All donations are processed by Razorpay. By donating you also agree to Razorpay's terms.
- BRY Foundation is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. A receipt eligible for 50% tax deduction will be sent to your registered email after a successful donation.
- Donations are final and non-refundable except in cases of demonstrable error (duplicate charge, incorrect amount entered by us). Refund requests must be raised within 7 days.
- Monthly donations can be cancelled at any time from your Razorpay account or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle.
Scholarship terms
- All scholarship applications are reviewed manually. Submission does not guarantee selection.
- Selection is need-blind and merit-based. We do not consider caste, religion, gender or political affiliation.
- Selected scholars must abide by the programme code of conduct, attend required sessions, and provide periodic progress reports.
- Scholarships may be withdrawn for serious code-of-conduct violations or misrepresentation in the application. We inform the scholar in writing before any such action and offer a chance to respond.
- We never charge any fee for applications, interviews, or offers. If anyone claiming to represent us asks you to pay, please report it immediately.
Volunteer terms
- Volunteering is not an employment relationship and creates no contract of service.
- Volunteers are expected to follow our code of conduct, including safeguarding rules when working with students.
- Background checks may be required for roles involving direct contact with minors.
- Volunteer engagements may be ended by either side at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.
